Taking evening primrose oil continuously for 3-6 months was found to reduce the incidence of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) by approximately 30%-70%, reduce drug induced side effects on the stomach, thereby improving the quality of life of patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

     An intake of 'Evening primrose oil', which is a source of omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids LA and GLA, can help reduce the risk of heart disease because LA and GLA slightly help reduce cholesterol levels.
